Jesse Albrecht is a ceramicist, draftsman, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges personal history, political commentary, and cultural narratives. With a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics & Drawing from the University of Iowa, Jesse has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. His pieces of artwork are displayed in prestigious public collections such as The Library of Congress, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, and The National Archives. He currently lives and works in Montana. He has taught in colleges, art schools, non-profits, and workshops across the United States.

Jesse was halfway through his Master of Fine Arts program in Ceramics at the University of Iowa when he was deployed to Iraq, from 2003–2004, as a medic and security specialist. His work investigates the collision of war, myth, and reality — examining the physical and psychological aesthetics of combat, the shaping of national narratives, and the lingering aftermath of conflict.
